Edible Printing Accessory Bundle for Canon printers using PGI--5 & CLI-8 Cartridges.

HobbyPrint® Edible Printing Accessory Bundle with PGI--5 & CLI-8 Refillable Cartridges.& Icing Sheets.

An edible printer accessory pack that works with all Canon printers that use the PGI-520 and CLI-521 ink cartridges. The bundle consists of pre-filled refillable ink cartridges and a pack of 24 icing sheets. These items will allow you to print edible inks onto the printable icing sheets to create photo cakes and other edible treats.

A couple of different choices of bottles of ink for the pre-filled refillable cartridges can be added to the bundle from the options dropdown menus. These inks are for re-filling the cartridges when empty and we advise that the refillable cartridges are only filled 3 times after the first fill.

There are also a couple of choices for the icing sheets. If you prefer to use pre-cut icing sheets, the A4 rectangle sheets can be swapped to pre-cut icing sheets from a selection of sheets that we have created for you. Select and choose from the options dropdown menus.

Software to manipulate images and create text for your edible designs is available and is free to our customers. The software can be downloaded from a link that we will provide you with. The software uses templates that work with all of the pre-cut sheets that we supply.

Important Note and disclaimer.
We do not recommend that edible printing is done with a printer that has been previously used with non-edible ink cartridges. Having stated that, we are realists and accept that this will happen. For those that are tempted to do this against our advice, in order to try and keep edible printing safe, we have offered a couple of minimum requirements to follow.

Remove the printhead from the printer and wash with hot running water under a tap. Wash until ink stops coming out from the printhead and the water is clear.
Vigorously shake the washed printhead to remove the water from the print head and dry the contacts before re-installing it into the printer.
Fully flush the printhead several times with an edible cleaning fluid. To do this, fill a set of empty refillable cartridges with cleaning fluid and run the printer head clean cycle, 3 or 4 times.

Please do not take the above procedure as a recommendation from us. We always advise against using previously used printers for edible printing. We would prefer that you do not do it!
